Successful Czechoslovak Day Full of Sports and Fun

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, a successful event filled with sports and games took place at Tooting Bec Athletic Tracks, attracting participants of all ages. This wonderful Czechoslovak day brought together children, parents, and fans of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the spirit of sports and shared fun.

Children aged 2 to 15 enjoyed a variety of activities. The youngest participants had fun with egg and spoon races, bear runs, and bunny hopping competitions, while older children competed in long jump into sand, high jump, and 100-meter dash. This year, for the first time, parents could also compete in a special race category.

After an afternoon snack, everyone enjoyed joint parent-child games, which included various races, sack jumping, relay races, and the popular tug of war. All participants were awarded medals and certificates of participation, bringing a lot of joy and pride.

The event saw many attendees regardless of age or sporting experience, fulfilling the event’s motto: “It’s not important to win, but to fight honestly and with all your might.” Everyone had a great time, made new friends, and supported a good cause.

We thank all athletes, parents, children, and spectators for their participation and look forward to the next year, which will once again bring many unforgettable experiences.
