Ballroom Without Borders
The first international social evening of the Czech School Without Borders, London was a great success.
On Saturday, March 8, the first international evening was held to mark the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Czech School Without Borders, London. The dance evening took place in the welcoming setting of the Halo Theatre in Southgate and attracted not only friends of the Czech School but also those who appreciate Czech culture.
The musical part of the evening was opened by The Black Stripes trio, two of whose members have Czech roots. The evening then continued with a performance by the excellent Alisa Lands Swing Band, whose captivating repertoire had the entire hall dancing. During the breaks, participants enthusiastically danced and sang along to popular Czech pop hits.
The evening was filled with a warm and cheerful atmosphere. Guests also enjoyed excellent Czech beer from the London-based Bohem Brewery, authentic Czech goulash, and traditional Czech open-faced sandwiches (chlebíčky), which were very well received.
The entire event was a great success, and we are already looking forward to the next edition!
