Olympiad in the Czech Language

The Czech School Without Borders, London proudly took part in an international Czech language olympiad organized by the global association Czech Schools Without Borders.

In February 2025, the school held its first-round event, where eight pupils from Years 2 to 6, divided into two age categories, competed in mastering Czech sayings and proverbs, challenging phrases, and grammatical exceptions. Participants were also tested on their reading comprehension and invited to showcase their creativity by writing an original story in Czech.

The top two students from each category advanced to the global round of the competition, which took place on Saturday, 26 April 2025.

Final results will be announced in June, and we are confident that we will have cause to celebrate our students’ achievements during the school’s 15th anniversary summer party in July.
