Exploring the Solar System with Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5
On the first Saturday of the second halfterm, we welcomed Ondřej Šamárek, a teacher with a passion for cosmonautics. He prepared a talk for years 3-5, which was very well received. He showed us how NASA explores space and learns about the solar system, what is it like on other planets, and also about dwarf planets and comets – which might have well be the agent that brought life to our planet, Earth. During the talk, the children solved anagrams, answered quiz questions and thought about which planet they would like to visit. We are grateful to Ondra for this wonderful talk and look forward to his next visit!
